Québec has a lot to offer: museums, parks, shopping, and more. Québec is a vibrant, friendly and unique city, sitting right in between the European charm and the Québécois culture, with the gorgeous Saint-Laurent river as a backdrop. Let’s start by a visit of the Vieux-Québec, the old part of the town; did you know it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site? What a treat to wander through the cobblestone streets, to stroll along the fortifications and contemplate the beautiful Château Frontenac. Hike your way up to the Dufferin Terrasse to admire the amazing view on the Saint-Laurent river and its surroundings. Moving on to another of favorite spot: the Plains of Abraham, a gigantic urban park. Perfect for a gourmet picnic, an energizing hike or a crowded concert, it’s a must see!
Sea animal lovers will be won over by the Aquarium du Québec which is a friendly options for young and old. Did you know that two baby walrus, Lakina and Balzak were born there this year? Another Québec city essential is the Québec City Summer Festival. If you had to see one festival only in Québec, it should be that one!
