From next July 16 to 31, Vidéotron warmly invites you to take the bus to Montréal and participate in the largest comedy festival in the world. In fact, thanks to the Just for Laughs Festival, you will spend then next few weeks in Montréal laughing so hard your cheeks will hurt! In order to get there from Québec, Trois Rivières, or even from Drummondville, jump right on one of our buses to Montréal.
What is the Just for Laughs Festival?
Created by Gilbert Rozon in 1983, the festival has welcomed comedians from all over the world to create a simply phenomenal event. With its theater, its buskers, its stand-ups and galas, the Just for Laughs Festival now welcomes more than 1700 artists! During nearly two weeks you will attend 1 600 performances in Montréal, 1 200 of them that are completely free!
Different events that are not to be missed
As usual, the Just for Laughs Festival offers a multitude of unique galas and the theme this year is « Les rivalités » (“Rivalries”). You can attend verbal Olympics between Guillaume Wagner and Guy Nantel, Philippe Bond and Michel Barrette, Laurent Paquin and Cathy Gauthier, and many more. Orléans Express invites you to make sure you see many plays, such as Roméo et Juliette or Je préfère qu’on reste des amis.
Philippe Bond, Korine Côté and Abdib Alkhalidey will have you laughing your head off during their solo performances, while the Jacksons will offer you an exceptional concert.
How to get there
The Just for Laughs Festival takes place in the heart of the metropolis, in Montréal’s Quartier des Spectacles that covers an area of 1 km2. If you live in Montréal, we highly suggest you take the Métro that will drop you off right at the Place-des-Arts terminal, the nerve center of the various activities. If you are from outside the city, jump aboard one of our Orléans Express coaches that will bring you right to the Montréal terminal, located only steps from the festival.
If you want to have a good laugh, head over to the Quartier des Spectacles in July, because that’s the place to be!
